Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.
Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
My note :
This is my very favorite hymn. This song describes a heart that just desires God and nothing else. How amazing this song is and how amazing if we can just focus on our Savior without getting distraction of this world. Yes, This is also my prayer and my desire.
Yes, He is the best Thought. When I think of Him - I have nothing to fear because I know He is The Ruler of all and He loves me. He is my Wisdom. He leads me in the way of life. He is my Salvation.
I pray for my eyes, my mind and my heart just have a single focus only on The Lord Jesus Christ and how to please Him in every step I take. Let Only Jesus Christ be my desire, my love, my purpose. Because He is my Victory, my Light and my Life.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. (KJV) Act 20:24
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (KJV) Php 1:21
My deep desire and hope is that I shall never fail in my duty, but that at all times, and especially right now, I shall be full of courage, so that with my whole being I shall bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. (GNB) Php 1:20
For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. (ESV) Gal 1:10
So I run straight toward the goal in order to win the prize, which is God's call through Christ Jesus to the life above. (GNB) Php 3:14
